Booking Process

 

Do I have to pay upfront or pay a deposit for the event?

 

You do not have to pay for the entire event upfront if you do not want to, however 25% of the total cost will be required upfront to secure your booking. If you were to cancel your event, this deposit will be refunded promptly, unless within 24 hours of your event in which case it will be retained as a late cancellation fee. The remaining 75% of your party cost can be paid before the event via bank transfer or with cash on the day of the event.

 

 

What happens if I want to cancel or reschedule the event?

 

Sometimes things don’t always go to plan and we totally understand! If you wanted to cancel or reschedule an event, please do so more than 24 hours before the event takes place. Failure to do so will result in your 25% deposit being retained as a late cancellation fee.

Do you have any male entertainers?

 

As Sunflower Entertainment is both owned and operated solely by Chantel and Emmanuelle, the characters are all female, yet that does not mean that we can’t try and accomodate to your character or theme. Customers who have previously sought a male entertainer, were delighted with our selection of our gender neutral characters such as our Pirate, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Jessie from Toy Story, Kooky and Poppy the Clown.

 

 

Do you only cater to children?

 

Generally, our party packages are catered to children however exceptions can always be made. We love the opportunity to expand to events involving any age group, including corporate events, bridesmaids parties, business functions and whatever event you can think of! 

 

 

What is your rate?

 

Our rates depend on the service being provided, the number of participating guests, any additional features and can all be found on our services page under the specific party package heading.

Do I get a discount when I have booked with you before?

​

Yes, you do get a discount! We offer a 10% OFF Loyalty Discount if you have purchased a service from us before, which is 10% off the total amount of your next service. This is great if you have multiple children in the one year, or if you want us again for the next year's event! 

T&C's: This offer is not in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or sale. This offer is only applicable to small, private events such as birthday parties and christenings, hosted by parents and guardians and not on behalf of a business. This offer is therefore not applicable to larger companies, charity events, schools, daycares and other businesses. We thank you for your understanding!

Are there any travel costs?

​

Only if the destination of the party is over 10km away from the Business Headquarters (located in Concord NSW), then an additional $2/km will be charged as a travel fee. E.g. If your party is located 25 km away from the HQ, then only 15km of those will be charged, making it a travel fee of $30. 

 

During the Event

 

What happens if it rains on the day, or the forecast predicts rain on the day?

 

We firstly suggest having a plan B incase the weather does become adverse. If in a park or other outdoor space with no available undercover area, and the show must go on, with enough notice, for an additional flat fee of $50, we can provide and set up and pack down a 3x3 gazebo with an awning. If only one entertainer is needed at the event, then a helpful hand will be required. Note that if the party is cancelled less than 24 hours before the event, a late cancellation fee of 25% of the service price will apply. 

 

 

When should I plan to have my entertainer arrive?

 

We recommend the entertainer be booked to arrive 15-30 minutes into the event, to ensure all guests have arrived. 

 

 

What do I need to provide at the event?

 

We come equipped with all the goodies needed to perform the entire service, including the face paints, balloons, games, prizes, a table and 2-4 chairs and clean up after ourselves. For an additional flat fee of $50, we can provide and set up an outdoor gazebo which can help during outdoor events. If only one entertainer is needed at the event, then a helpful hand will be required to set up the gazebo. 

 

 

When should I serve food?

 

We suggest serving food either before or after the entertainer has performed a complete service or during a busy period of face painting or balloon twisting where the entertainer has to work on one child at a time, thus allowing those waiting to enjoy the yummy party food.

 

 

Can the entertainer stay back at all?

 

As the entertainer has been booked for a certain amount of time, staying back isn’t always possible, however, if asked with enough notice, the entertainer will see what they can do. An additional charge would incur if the party was extended to include a service that was not a part of the original party e.g. add games to an otherwise “Standard Party Package”. We are always trying to make your special day the best it can be so don’t hesitate to ask if you find yourself in that position!

 

 

After the Event

 

How should I pay the entertainer?

 

There is an upfront 25% deposit to secure your booking which is required to be paid during the booking process. For the remaining 75%, we accept cash payments and bank transfers either on the day of the party, after the service has been completed or before the event has taken place. Payment is agreed upon before the event to ensure there are minimal hiccups and the day runs smoothly. Our bank details are always provided on our electronic invoice which we provide to customers before the event takes place, or we can send them to you via text per request. 

 

 

How many entertainers come to the party?

 

Usually a service that ranges between 1-20 children will only require one entertainer, whereas for more than that, 2 entertainers will be sent. For our V.I.P Meet and Greet Package, 2 entertainers can be arranged no matter the size of the event.

 

 

What happens after?

 

After the even is completed, we will send a follow up e-mail to ensure everything went smoothly, exchange any pictures you are comfortable sharing with us (which we will often upload to our social media pages). At this point you can feel free to browse our Facebook and Instagram to check out our uploads, and you can leave us a Facebook review of our service.
